Each owner receives a credential bound to their entitlement and election cycle.
One vote per property
Or per entitlement, per percentage, or per any rule your governing documents define.
Duplicate vote prevention
Locks across channels — online, paper, proxy — surface conflicts before close, not after.
Secret ballot separation
Participation records and marked selections live in separate stores. Receipts never reveal votes.
Immutable submissions
Submitted ballots are append-only. Edits create new records with full chain-of-custody.
Admin activity logs
Who did what, when, and from where — exportable as part of the certified packet.
Encrypted connections
TLS everywhere. Modern cipher suites. Hardened headers across every association portal.
Exportable audit package
Complete election record — roster, ballots, tallies, logs, certifications — in one audit-ready bundle.
HOABallot provides configurable tools for secure, documented HOA voting. Associations should confirm election requirements with their governing documents and legal counsel. We provide compliance-ready infrastructure, not a substitute for statutory review.
Compliance-aware configuration
Built for HOA rules that vary by state and by community.
Configure the election around your governing documents instead of forcing every community into the same ballot model. Inspector and counsel review can be built into the launch workflow instead of handled as an afterthought.

Can owners with multiple lots vote once with weighted votes?
Yes. HOABallot models voting rights as entitlements, so one owner can represent multiple properties and each entitlement can carry the correct voting power, percentage, or unit weight.
Can we support one vote per property?
Yes. Elections can be configured around one vote per property, one vote per unit, or another approved entitlement rule from your governing documents.
Can we combine paper and online ballots?
Yes, with a carefully controlled process. Every voting channel reconciles against one authoritative voter ledger so duplicate votes are prevented before close, not caught after.
Can votes be anonymous?
Secret ballot mode separates identity and participation records from marked selections. Receipts and reports do not reveal how any individual owner voted.
Can we run proxy voting?
Proxy rules vary by state and by governing documents. HOABallot is designed to support proxy-aware workflows with legal and inspector review rather than assuming one universal proxy model.
Can reminders go only to owners who have not voted?
Yes. Reminder jobs target non-voters based on participation records — they never read secret ballot selections.
Can we use this for bylaw or CC&R amendments?
Yes. Measures can include approval choices, abstain options, supporting documents, quorum targets, weighted entitlements, and certification reporting.
Can we attach candidate bios and PDFs?
Yes. Ballots can include candidate details, photos, written statements, and supporting documents for owner review before submission.
Can we export final results?
Yes. Certification produces immutable report snapshots and export files — including formula-safe CSV output and certification PDFs — all packaged in a single audit bundle.
Can management companies run multiple HOAs?
Yes. Staff can manage many associations from one workflow, each with its own routed portal, roster, elections, notifications, and reporting.
How does the public-record HOA demo work?
HOABallot uses limited public association records to create clearly labeled, unofficial demo workspaces. These demos show how the workflow could look for a community without including private homeowner rosters or accepting real votes.
Is the demo official?
No. A public demo is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the association unless it is explicitly marked as claimed or verified. Unclaimed demos are product previews only.
Can an HOA claim or correct its demo workspace?
Yes. Boards, managers, and listed individuals can request corrections, display changes, or a claimed workspace review from any association profile.
Are board-member names shown as official candidates?
No. Public officer or director names, when shown, are labeled as public-record placeholders. A real election must use the association-approved candidate list and reviewed ballot language.
Can HOABallot work outside Arizona?
Yes. The software is designed for state-specific rules and community-specific governing documents. Arizona is the first directory focus, and each association should confirm election requirements with counsel.
